Description
An elegant Poul Cadovius two-bay wall unit with a desk and shelf light, designed for Cado in the 1960s, is an excellent alternative to a traditional desk and ideal for a home office space. It can be placed in a bedroom or a living room, saving space and providing a remote working area. The piece is a fine example of Danish carpentry from the mid-century era and is considered of the highest quality. This stunning modular wall unit features six stylish shelves with “made in Denmark” engraved on them, one writing desk with a portable lamp, a glass display cabinet, and one elegant cabinet. It is made in walnut wood with black metal hardware and solid wood rails.
The wall unit consists of:
- one desk shelf 9 cm high/ 80 cm long/40 cm deep with 2x drawer internal height 5 cm
- one glass doors cabinet with inner glass shelf 33/80/24 cm
- one cabinet H: 51/ W: 80/D: 40 cm
- four shelves 24 cm deep
- two shelves 30 cm deep
- two rails 230 cm (approx. 10 cm from the floor)\
- 1 rail 198 cm (approx. 10 cm from the floor)
- black-painted metal hardware
- shelf lamp with wire length 180 cm and additional ON/OFF switch, requires 2xE14 bulb
We recommend that you hang the desk at a height of 71-75cm (this will determine the height of the cabinet installation)
Our team has checked the wall unit thoroughly. All components fit together, and all doors and drawers work properly. Occasionally, we sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched). In this case, we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil and other professional compounds. All the interiors have been checked and cleaned.
We leave minor, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We bring it back to its best look, considering it is 60 years old.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
