Description

Danish mid-century teak wall unit, designed in the 1960s in the style of Poul Cadovius, was made in Denmark in the 1960s. It is a 3-bay entirely modular shelving system. It resembles Poul Cadovius units from the same period and is of a very similar quality. The diamond pattern sandblasted glass door is its most decorative part, except for the beautiful teak wood. So rarely seen nowadays.

The wall unit features interchangeable parts that can be arranged as needed, using an easy brass hanger system with regular slots in solid wood rails.

It has two 40 cm deep shelves, which can be used as a compact desk when the bottom one is taken down ( it takes only 30 seconds ) Therefore we believe it is ideal for home office work, especially with two side cabinets providing space for any documents, files, etc.

The piece is a fine example of Danish carpentry from the mid-century era, visible in finely crafted edges and solid teak contoured handles.

This set consists of:

– two cabinets with sliding doors: H: 50/W: 80/D: 41cm

– glass door cabinet with inside shelf H: 50/W: 80/D: 22 cm

– 6 shelves 20 cm deep

– 2 desk shelves 40 cm deep

– 1 expository shelf 31 cm deep

– 4 upright supports 198 cm long

– brass hardware

Our team has checked the wall unit thoroughly. All components fit together, and all doors work properly. The unit has been fully restored with Danish oil and other professional compounds. It looks almost like new, even though it is 60 years old. All the interiors have been checked and cleaned.

We leave minor, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We bring it back to its best look, considering it is 60 years old.
