In this category, we collect storage furniture that doesn't fit into the confines of a classic sideboard or chest of drawers. Here, you'll find wardrobes, glass-fronted display cases, highboards, bar cabinets, and other closed furniture from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. These are often the most striking pieces in our collection, combining large capacity with expressive forms and refined materials.

Renovated Vintage Wardrobes and Display Cases

Mid-Century Modern wardrobes are rare pieces, as Danish designers preferred low, elongated forms (sideboards, chests of drawers) over tall shapes. This makes the models we offer even more valuable. Among other things, we have a rosewood wardrobe by Omann Jun from the 1960s, one of the rarest and most valuable pieces in our collection. These cabinets are distinguished by their solid construction of solid wood or thick rosewood veneer, discreet handles, and meticulously finished interiors with rails and shelves.

Renovated Bar Cabinets and Sideboards

A bar cabinet is a piece of furniture characteristic of Italian design in the 1950s and 1960s, when the home bar was an important part of social life. Our selection includes a bar cabinet attributed to Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler, crafted from teak and rosewood, with a mirrored interior and compartments for bottles and glasses. We also present Vittorio Dassi-style vitrines (vitrine), combining a lockable lower section with a glass door at the top, ideal for displaying porcelain, glassware, and collectibles. 

Renovated Bookcases and Shelves with Doors

A separate group consists of bookcases and shelving units with lockable sections, combining display and storage functions. The collection includes an oak bookcase designed by Hans Wegner for RY Møbler, one of the most renowned Danish furniture designers of the 20th century, as well as an oak bookcase by Johannes Sorth for the Bornholm-based company Nexø. These pieces combine open shelves for books and objects with lockable cabinets on the lower sections, allowing for both display and organization.

Unlike smaller pieces (chests of drawers, bedside tables), which are primarily teak in our collection, wardrobes and display cabinets are available in a wider range of materials. Rosewood appears in the most valuable pieces, such as the Omann Jun wardrobe. Oak dominates bookcases and shelving units in the early Danish Modern style (Wegner, Sorth). Italian pieces combine teak with rosewood, while Dassi-style sideboards use walnut with lighter wood inlays. Each piece undergoes a renovation that includes cleaning, surface protection, repair of hinges, locks, and doors, and interior refreshment.
