Description

A home office teak wall unit with a drop door cabinet, designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado in the 1960s, provides a spacious working and storage space. Perfect for the living room or bedroom.

The wall unit is an entirely modular shelving system. All elements are 80 cm wide and can be arranged as needed. The cabinet is lockable with the original key included and can be used either as a secretaire or a bar cabinet. It features two inside drawers with green linen and an adjustable shelf.

Additionally, there are three cutlery supports included.Typical Cadovius front finish with thin teak strips braid is being found in most of his wall units, or for example, the Governor sofa. Very decorative Cado-made mark feature, the classic that will never go out of fashion.

The unit consists of:

one shelf 20cm deep
two shelves 24 cm deep
a cabinet with locked drop-down doors. The key included. H: 51,5 / W: 80/ D: 40 cm
two wooden rails 198 cm long
brass hardware

The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have made sure that doors work smoothly and that all components fit together. Occasionally, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here, we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.

The set is in fantastic vintage condition with minor traces of use and polished brass hardware.
