Description
This extremely functional mid-century teak wall unit was designed in the 1960s by Kai Kristiansen and made by the Danish furniture company FM Møbler. The unit features a minimalist design, brilliant carpentry, and attention to detail, especially visible in the beautifully folding tambour doors.
The set includes one spacious storage cabinet with tambour doors, a compact desk, and six shelves of varying depths, providing ample space to store and display books and decorations.
The storage cabinet features two separate compartments with extremely practical inner dividers for documents and useful in-cabinet lighting. In combination with the desk with two drawers for accessories, this unit is excellent for creating a discreet and fully functional home office space in your living room while also maintaining an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
The set consists of:
- storage cabinet: H: 50 / W: 85.5 / D: 42 cm
- compact desk: H: 16 / W: 85.5 / D: 42 cm (drawers height: 4 cm)
- 2 shelves: 24 cm deep
- 4 shelves: 18 cm deep
- 2 metal wall supports: 193 cm
- 1 metal wall support: 150cm
This shelving system is entirely modular; all parts can be interchanged and set up as desired, using a simple system of metal brackets fitting into the rails. The shown setup is just an example. Inside cabinet lighting requires one E14 bulb and can be turned on or off by inserting the plug into an outlet. The length of the cable is 200 cm.
The wall unit has been fully restored. All doors and drawers work properly, and all parts fit together seamlessly. The manufacturer sticker located at the back of the furniture certifies its authenticity and high-quality craftsmanship. The wood has been refinished and protected with professional compounds.
