This Hans J. Wegner double bed, crafted in the 1960s for Getama, exemplifies mid-century modern elegance. The bed frame is made of rich teak wood, showcasing Wegner’s signature clean lines and impeccable craftsmanship. The headboard features an intricately woven cane panel, adding texture and a touch of natural warmth. The combination of teak and cane highlights Wegner’s skill in merging organic materials with functional design.

The double bed is made out of two separate teak frames, which can be joined together to form a cohesive sleeping surface. This modular approach not only provides flexibility in arrangement but also facilitates ease of transport and assembly. The combination of the two frames allows for a versatile design that can be adapted to different room sizes and layouts.

The beds feature floating night tables seamlessly integrated into the frame, enhancing its modern aesthetic and maximizing floor space. Each night table is equipped with a single drawer for convenient storage and is complemented by a sleek black glass shelf.

Both parts of the double bed are in great original vintage condition. The wooden frame has been cleaned and refreshed with professional compounds to enhance the beauty of the wood, making it a perfect example of comfort and practicality without compromising on style. On the back of the bed and nightstands, the manufacturer’s engraving is preserved, confirming the authenticity of the origin. Beautifully preserved mid-century gem.

The bed does not come with a mattress. The recommended mattress dimensions are 90 cm by 190 cm, with a height not less than 15 cm for proper comfort.
