Description
The Model 349 floor lamp, designed by Danish sculptor Aage Petersen in 1946 and produced by Le Klint, is a practical and adjustable lighting solution. Its key features include a black metal and brass frame combined with the hand-folded pleated shade typical of Le Klint’s craftsmanship. In this particular piece, the shade, known as Model 12, is made from off-white plastic material. It came to production in the eary 1950s. The prsesnted model comes most likely from the 1970s.
One of the lamp’s standout features is its adjustable height, ranging from 113 cm to 158 cm, achieved through an extendable stand. Additionally, the transverse arm’s length and height can be modified, and the lampshade is tiltable, making it an ideal reading lamp that allows users to direct light precisely where needed.
Aage Petersen’s design reflects the Scandinavian modernist approach, focusing on utility and clean lines. Petersen, trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, brought his sculptural expertise into his work with Le Klint, producing designs that remain relevant decades later.
The Model 349 floor lamp is valued for its enduring functionality and minimalist design, making it a versatile choice for both modern and traditional interiors. Perfectly preserved vintage piece.
Cord length: 270 cm
(The lamp requires one E27 bulb)
