Description

Danish mid-century teak wall unit, designed in the 1960s in the style of Poul Cadovius, is a 3-bay fully modular shelving system. A label has been preserved at the back of one cabinet, but we dont know what is is. It was made by one of the manufacturesrs making wall units pararely to Cadovius in a similar manner and comparable quality.

The wall unit features interchangeable parts that can be arranged as needed, using an easy brass hanger system with regular slots in solid wood rails.  Each part can be moved anywhere and every 6 cm.

A compact desk, or a console with two drawers, three cabinets, and seven shelves will create a perfect space for home office work while providing abundant storage space.

The piece is a fine example of Danish carpentry from the mid-century era, visible in finely crafted edges and solid teak contoured handles.

This set consists of:

  • two cabinets with sliding doors: H: 51/W: 80/D: 40cm
  • glass door cabinet H: 33/W: 80/D: 24 cm
  • 1 desk cabinet with 2 small drawers H: 14/W: 80/D: 33 cm, (drawers height: 9cm)
  • 7 shelves 20 cm deep
  • 4 upright supports 200 cm long
  • brass hardware

Our team has checked the wall unit thoroughly. All components fit together, and all doors and drawers work properly. We have rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil and other professional compounds. All the interiors have been checked and cleaned.

We leave minor, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We bring it back to its best look, considering it is 60 years old.

Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
