Scandinavian mid-century modular bookcase with 2 cabinets, Denmark 1960s
Description
Scandinavian mid-century modular bookcase from the 1960s made in teak veneer with solid teak details. Each upper, detachable, section features three adjustable shelves (each 22 cm deep) and has additional hanging fixtures for extra stabilization. The lower part has two cabinets with smoothly sliding doors with open shelves between them. One of the cabinets features a pull-out shelf/tray.
The set consists of:
- 6 shelves 22 cm deep
- two shelves 33 cm deep
- two cabinets H: 39,5 / W: 88 / D: 41 cm
- lower bracing: H:30 / W: 2 / D: 38,5 cm
- upper bracing H: 127 / W: 2 / D: 22 cm
The set has been checked by our team. We have made sure that all doors work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. Our goal is to restore the furniture to its best condition, considering its age of 60 years.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
The unit comes almost entirely apart and is an early, very well made version of modern modular furniture that we know now. Interesting part of furniture history
This vintage piece after refreshing is in near original condition though it may show barely noticeable traces of use. It is highly recommended to mount the wall unit to the wall.
