Scandinavian mid-century modern wall mounted shelving unit in teak is both functional and very elegant. Slightly curved edges make a warm impression, and sliding door cabinet and four shelves provide just enough space for books and decorations. It is a completely modular shelving system “Ergo” which was designed by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk and made in Norway in the 1960s. One can easily place each part lower, higher, or interchange them.
This shelving system includes:
- a cabinet with sliding doors – H: 43 / W: 78.5 / D: 24 cm
- 2 shelves 21 cm deep
- 1 shelf 30 cm deep
- 1 shelf with sides 21 cm deep
- 2 teak supports each 189 cm long
- brass hangers
The wall unit has been checked by our team since it is in almost perfect condition we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. Our goal is to restore the furniture to its best condition, considering they are 60 years.
