Description

Minimalism and Norwegian purity showed in this Scandinavian daybed from the 1970s, closely reminding Ingmar Relling’s design. It is a most likely a version of Svane. Svane daybed and can work perfectly for any living room, office or a guest room or child’s room. It is both a two-seater sofa and a bed, as it provides a sleeping function while fully unfolded. The side table moves smoothly up and down, making room for two backrest cushions to create over 190cm long bed. The sofa is two sided which means that you can placed the table eather on the left side or right side.

Solid ribbon stripe mahogany frame combined with new natural wool upholstery in a bright celadon colour relates to classic Scandinavian mid century modern design. Tapered legs with black endings, detachable for convenient transport, and brass details add elagance.

The sofa was restored by our team. We have made sure that all mechanisms work properly. All the foams were exchanged and covered with a natural wool fabric. The wood has been cleaned and refreshed with Danish Oil. Some absolutely minor signs of use are visible on the wood only to confirm the age of the piece.

Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture and design, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.

Excellent condition, with minor traces of use.
