Description
Truly Scandinavian modern free standing wall unit with desk in teak is a 2-bay modular shelving system Ergo designed by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk and made in Norway in the 1960s. The slightly curved edges make a warm impression, and the sculptural rails create an elegant and grand-looking statement. Two cabinets and four shelves provide just enough storage space and a compact desk will create an unobtrusive home office space.
This shelving system includes:
- one cabinet with 4 drawers and sliding door H: 46/ W: 79/ D: 41 cm; drawers height: 8,5 cm
- one desk with 2 drawers H: 16/ W: 79 / D: 41cm; drawers height 8,5 cm
- one glass door cabinet H: 43 / W: 79 / D: 23 cm
- three shelves 21 cm deep
- one flanged shelf 22 cm deep
- three teak rail legs-supports 201 cm high
- brass hardware
The wall unit has been checked by our team and since it is in almost perfect condition we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil.
We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. Our goal is to restore the furniture to its best condition, considering they are 60 years.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
The wall unit is in excellent vintage condition with minor traces of use. An original stamp Made in Norway preserved at the back of the cabinet. It is not necessary but recommended to put the wall unit against the wall.
