This unique three-seater leather sofa was made by Hämeen Kalustajatehdas (also known as Hämeen Kalustaja), a Finnish furniture company founded in the 1920s. The company was active for several decades and recognized for its contribution to Finnish design during the mid-20th century.

The sofa is made of carefully selected Scandinavian pine with very soft, smooth aniline leather cushions in a caramel color. The solid wooden frame provides sturdiness, and the wood joinery technique creates a nice oblong mosaic-like pattern with visible grain. The mild olive hue of the wooden frame emphasizes the natural character of softwood. Kalustaja’s leather sofas were known for their durability and extreme comfort. The leather cushions are set on a contoured frame, thanks to which they adapt to the shape of the body. The wide armrests on both sides can be easily used as side tables. Highly elegant, well-crafted, and timeless design combined with functionality. This sofa will surely create the perfect focal point in any living room.

Despite the passage of time, the sofa in great shape, and its authenticity is confirmed by the manufacturer’s sticker. The wooden frame has been cleaned and preserved with professional compounds. The leather is in great condition with some light patina. It will only get nicer with time.

We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
