This unique 1960s rosewood highboard designed by renowed Danish furniture designer – Severin Hansen, is a truly elegant and functional piece that reflects the Scandinavian design ethos of simplicity and craftsmanship. Crafted from luxurious rosewood, the highboard features a rich, natural grain that enhances its visual appeal. The use of rosewood not only adds warmth but also durability to the piece.

The highboard is designed to maximize storage efficiency without compromising on style. It includes a variety of compartments, shelves, inner and outer drawers, offering versatile storage solutions for organizing items of different sizes and types. Inner shelves and mini drawers are adjustable in height, enhancing usability even further. The undersides of the drawers are lined with fabric to prevent damage and staining of the wood. Despite its large size, the slim, tapered legs ensure lightness, and additional supports in between guarantee stability and durability, even under heavy loads.

The sleek, uncluttered silhouette and elegant proportions, enriched with brass details and handles, contribute to its timeless elegance. With its combination of exquisite materials and practicality, the highboard will be a perfect centerpiece in any living or dining space.

Despite six decades having passed, the highboard remains in perfect original condition, with a beautiful natural patina on the brass handles. There are absolutely minimal signs of use, consistent with its age. All drawers and doors work properly and smoothly. The interior has been cleaned, and the wood protected with professional compounds. A true gem of mid-century modern furniture from Scandinavia.
