Visually appealing and extremely functional, this Danish shelving system in teak was designed in the 1960s by Poul Cadovius for Cado.
Designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, this wall unit is crafted from warm-hued teak wood, showcasing a beautiful wood grain pattern. The use of high-quality teak wood and teak veneer ensures the durability and longevity of the piece. Attention to detail, especially evident in the nicely integrated handles and the beautifully woven front of one of the cabinets, showcases the artistry of Danish craftsmen.
This piece of furniture will elegantly fill an entire wall, providing plenty of space to store and display books and decorations. At the same time, thanks to the large spaces between the components, it does not give the impression of being overwhelmed. The drop-front door cabinet can be used as a hidden desk to create a discreet space for a home office. The combination of open shelving and closed cabinets offers a versatile mix of display and storage options, making it ideal for living rooms or offices where both aesthetics and organization are crucial.
This wall system is fully modular, offering a variety of configuration options to suit your needs. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with shelves mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers, or for larger components like the dresser, on metal pins.

- a cabinet with glass doors: H: 50 / W: 80 / D: 22 cm
- a drop-front door cabinet/a hidden desk: H: 51 / W: 80/ D: 40 cm (depth when fully opened: 86 cm, drawers height: 5 cm)
- a console: H: 24 / W: 80 / D: 30 cm (internal height of the drawers: upper: 7 cm, lower: 10 cm)
- a dresser: H: 51 / W: 80 / D: 40 cm (internal height of the drawers, starting from the top: 7 cm, 7 cm, 11 cm, 15 cm)
- 10 shelves: W: 80 / D: 20 cm
- 2 shelves: W: 80 / D: 24 cm
- 1 shelf: W: 80 / D: 37 cm
- 1 shelf: W: 80 / D: 30 cm
- 5 solid wood montage rails, each 225 cm long
Despite the passage of time, the wall unit is in excellent original condition. Minor traces of use are typical for furniture of this age and are shown in the photos. The engraving “made in Denmark” on the back of the shelves, along with the serial numbers on the cabinet and dresser, confirm the authenticity of their origin. The wood has been cleaned and finished with layers of Danish oil to enhance its natural beauty.
