This three-seater sofa by Mogens Hansen, crafted in the 1970s, is a standout piece of Danish design. Upholstered in full grain buffalo leather, it offers exceptional durability and a rich, natural texture, with subtle imperfections like scars and wrinkles that give it a distinctive character. Full grain leather is leather for connoisseurs. It is the outermost and thinnest layer, with the most tightly woven fibers, and its processing is very demanding and costly. Moreover, it is the most durable type of leather that exists.

Buffalo leather is thicker and stronger than standard cowhide, making it highly resistant to wear while retaining a soft, supple feel. It adapts to body temperature and becomes even softer with use. Over time, it develops a deep patina, enhancing its vintage charm and adding unique character to each piece.

The sofa’s minimalist and functional design reflects the Scandinavian mid-century modern aesthetics. Its clean lines, low profile, and subtle curves ensure both visual harmony and superior comfort.
