Description
Truly Scandinavian teak wall unit model Rival, designed in the 60s by Kjell Riise and made by Brodrene Jatogs Mobelfabrik in Norway. Manufacturer’s labels preserved. This vintage bookcase is entirely modular and can be arranged as needed. It features two cabinets and four shelves, which provide enough storage space, while the compact desk creates a functional space for a home office work.
The unit consists of:
- desk with two drawers H: 13,5 /W: 92 / D: 40 cm
- one hinged door cabinet H: 40/W: 92 /D: 40 cm
- one cabinet with glass doors H: 32/ W: 92 / D: 30 cm
- four shelves 20 cm deep
- three wooden rails 206 cm long
- brass hardware
Our team checked the wall unit thoroughly. All components fit together, and all doors and drawers work properly. Occasionally, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here, we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece. Overall, the wall unit is in fantastic condition with minor traces of use. It is not necessary but highly recommended to mount the wall unit to a wall. It requires two people to assemble it.
