Description
The Luna Lounge Chair is a well-known design by the Norwegian designer Odd Knutsen. This pair was designed in the early 1970s and produced by Hjellegjerde, a Norwegian furniture company renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship.
The Luna chair is often described as a “sling” chair due to its unique design, where the leather or fabric seat is suspended between the wooden or metal frame. This creates a relaxed, hammock-like feel when sitting.
This particular pair features a wooden frame made of high-quality wooden plywood veneered with ash, combined with a cognac leather seat.
Known for its comfort, the Luna chair’s ergonomic design provides excellent body support. The soft cushioning and the way it cradles the sitter make it an ideal choice for a lounge as a reading chair. Subtle design features, such as the corset tie at the back and the distinctive shape of the wooden construction, add to their unique appeal.
The leather is in original condition. One of the chairs’ leather is more worn off and and there is a slight difference in the leather grain. For this reason, the chairs can also be sold separately.
seat height: 43 cm
