This beautifully designed piece features four shelves, three of which are adjustable, providing flexible storage options. ( the middle oine is not adjustable adding stabilty to the structure )
‘Bornholmer bookcases’ refer to a specific type of bookshelves that is named after the Danish island of Bornholm and known for its sleek design and functionality, and above all precise master carpentry. These bookshelves are valued for their versatility and can be used to display books, decorative items, or other belongings. They can be placed together or separately in the room.
Resting on a minimalist, finely carved base, each bookcase’s legs are slightly tapered, a hallmark of Danish design from this period. Reflecting Sorth’s exploration of innovative forms and structures, this bookcase features a subtle variation in shape, being slightly narrower at the top and gradually expanding towards the bottom. This tapered construction adds visual interest and gives it a lighter, more airy presence without compromising stability.
Crafted from high-quality, rich teak wood, the bookcases showcase an exquisite wood grain that adds warmth and a natural aesthetic to any interior space.
The bookcases have been fully renovated. All the wood has been sanded down and covered with layers of Danish Oil. They are in perfect condition. If you are interested in only one, we have also one bookcase like this in our offer.
