Description
This freestanding vintage Italian mid-century teak wall-unit was made some time in the 1950s. The elegant modular system perfectly combines refined Italian craftsmanship with the functionality characteristic of the mid-century aesthetic. The composition features clean, geometric lines of the cabinetry contrasted with the lightness of the black metal frame and decorative brass details. The entire structure is supported by metal uprights with ornamental metal wires and brass feet, adding a sophisticated and sculptural touch to the piece.
The wall unit includes two cabinets with hinged doors and removable internal shelves, providing generous storage space adaptable to your needs. Another module contains four drawers and a single door, ideal for organizing smaller items. Completing the composition is a glass-fronted display cabinet with beautifully crafted glass doors featuring a vertical stripe motif—an elegant and decorative detail. The system is freestanding and fully modular, allowing for different configurations and easy placement without the need for wall mounting. It will perfectly fit into a living or dining room, adding a pinch of mid-century modern style.
The set consists of:
- two cabinets with doors and removable shelves H: 49 / W: 80 / D: 37 cm
- one cabinet with four drawers and hinged doors H: 49 / W: 80 / D: 37 cm (drawers height 8 cm)
- one glazed display cabinet with patterned glass doors H: 49 / W: 80 / D: 26 cm
- 7 wooden shelves 26 cm depth
- four black metal supports with decorative metal wires and brass feet
- metal and brass hardware
The wall unit has been carefully renovated. All doors and drawers open smoothly, the wood has been cleaned and preserved with a protective lacquer finish, and the metal and brass components have been polished. Despite its age, the piece remains in excellent vintage condition, showing only minimal traces of use consistent with time and history.
