Description
A simple yet very functional mid-century Italian free-standing bookcase inspired by Silvio Cavatorta from the 1960s assembles a vertical desk bookcase with extra shelf and a cabinet. Featuring additional lighting, it will create an ideal space for a home office in the living room or bedroom. The impeccable construction features black-painted metal supports that provide a striking contrast against the rich warmth of teak veneer. This fusion of materials not only exudes the essence of Italian Modern design but also renders the bookcase a perfect fit for various interior styles, from contemporary to more traditional settings. Stability is ensured by the finely crafted adjustable brass feet that elegantly conclude the metal supports. Even on uneven surfaces like tiles or aged wood floors, this bookcase stands firm and secure, ready to meet your daily demands.
The set consists of:
- a cabinet with sliding doors H: 26/ W: 85/ D: 30 cm
- desk 46 cm deep
- one shelf 30 cm deep
- 2 black metal supports 190 cm
- a side lamp mounted to the rails, original wiring with 207 cm long cord
The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have checked the lighting and if all parts fit together and the doors work smoothly. All the wood has been rejuvenated with Danish oil. Metal parts have been repainted. We often leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
It is a beautiful and functional piece in fantastic original vintage condition with very minor traces of use. The lamp requires an E14 bulb.
Please send us your postal code to learn about the shipping time and cost for your precise location. We can ship to any country in the world, but the time of processing the order will vary from country to country. We are happy to negotiate the price, especially if you decided to buy several pieces.
