Description
This Italian mid century bookcase was designed in the 1960s and closely remains Franco Albini’s projects from the same period. It can be a perfect room divider for larger apartments or rooms. The unit’s clean architectural lines and warm wood tones reflect the refined design sensibility of 1960s Italian modernism.
Comprising three lower cabinets—including one chest of drawers and two storage cabinets—the unit offers ample concealed storage. Above, nine open shelves provide generous space for books, decorative objects, or everyday essentials. The versatility and balance of open and closed elements make this piece ideal for both storage and display. All parts are movable and interchangeable. They can go lower, or higher. It is all up to you. The setup on the picture is just an example.
All components are crafted from beautifully veneered wood, mounted on solid black-lacquered metal uprights with adjustable brass feet for stability, even on uneven floors. allowing the unit to be placed freestanding within a room.
Set includes:
- 2x Cabinet H: 50/W: 75/ D: 35 cm
- 1x Chest of drawers height approx. 8 cm) H: 50/ W: 75/ D: 40 cm
- 9 shelves W: 75/D: 34 cm
- 4 metal rails 295 cm long
We offer optional extensions that can increase the total pole height by up to 50 cm, accommodating ceiling heights from 290 cm to 340 cm. On request, we can also shorten the rails to suit lower ceilings.
The unit is in original condition. All doors and drawers have been checked and functioned smoothly. The wood has been gently cleaned and professionally polished to preserve and enhance its natural beauty. The back is also veneered, but in slightly worse condition, still fully functional though.
