Description

An elegant rosewood, superior-quality shelving system with a tambour door cabinet, desk, and two backlit lamp shelves, designed by Kai Kristiansen, will create a functional and stylish working space for a home office. It was manufactured in the 1960s by FM Mobler, which is validated by the original label. Mastery of Danish midcentury craftsmanship is shown in rich-grained rosewood veneer, solid wood details, and beautifully folding tambour doors that, at first glance, appear to be one piece. They open up a spacious interior with a tray and a shelf. The lamps illuminate gentle light that can either illuminate during the home office work or be a delicate light source in a bedroom or living room.

This vintage wall unit is entirely modular, and one can height or lower all the parts, as needed, using a simple system of metal brackets fitting into the rails.

The set consists of:

  • four shelves 28cm deep
  • two shelves with lamps H: 8,5 / W: 85,5 / D: 18 cm
  • tambour doors cabinet H: 50 / W: 85,5 / D: 40 cm (drawers high 2,5 cm)
  • a cabinet with glass doors H: 36 / W: 85,5 / D:32 cm
  • one desk H: 21 / W: 85,5 / D: 40 cm (drawers high 4,5 cm)
  • three metal rails veneered in rosewood 232 cm long

The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have made sure that all drawers and doors work properly. We checked the lamps as well. All the parts have been cleaned and preserved with professional compounds. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering they are 60 years old.

Clients from all around the world have trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
