Description
A Danish mid-century modern teak bookcase is a 3-bay wall unit designed in the 1960s. It is very resemble to Poul Cadovius designs from the same period. It is a fully modular shelving system with interchangeable parts that can be arranged according to one’s needs. Presented lay out is just an example. Two cabinets and nine shelves provide just enough space for storage and exposing books and decorations. The entire set is veneered in beautiful rich grain teak and hangs on solid wood rails using brass hangers. One of the lower shelves can be easily removed (temporarily or for good, depending on the needs) to create a desk space functional for a home office space in the living room.
This set includes:
- one cabinet with 4 drawers H: 45 / W 80 / D: 46 cm
- one glass cabinet H: 44 / W 80 / D: 25 cm
- one display shelf 31 cm deep
- 6 shelves 20 cm deep
- 3 shelves 45 cm deep
- 4 upright supports; 200 cm long
- brass hardware
The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have made sure that the drawers work properly, and all parts fit together. The wall unit has been entirely renovated, the wood has been stripped and refinished with several layers of Danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old. Clients from all around the world already have trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
Overall, the wall unit is in excellent condition with minimal wear, polished brass hardware, and new pins added.
Please send us your postal code to learn about the shipping time and cost for your precise location. We can ship to any country in the world, but the time of processing the order will vary from country to country. We are happy to negotiate the price, especially if you decided to buy several pieces.
