Description
A Danish set of six oak razor chairs designed by Henning Kjaernulf in the 1960s was manufactured at EG Kvalitetsmøbler, validated by the original label. The slightly curved backrests are razorblade-shaped and are an uncommon design feature. The style and shape of the carved legs and frame recall an almost Baroque design paired with Scandinavian modernism making an outstanding yet impressive combination.
The natural grain and color of the varnished oak are complimented by the new gray fabric of the seats. New upholstery made from a gray with blue thread natural cotton fabric emphasizes the beauty of the oak grain, adding a modernistic touch. With a commitment to combining tradition and modernity, Henning Kjærnulf’s design is an immediately recognizable and timeless classic. Overall, fantastic condition with minor traces on wood frames related to age and use, new foams, and upholstery.
