Description
Danish, highly functional mid-century teak wall unit, very reminiscent of the Poul Cadovius designs. It comes from the same period as one of the Danish manufacturers that were producing parallel to Cadovius. It features a beautiful wood grain pattern both on the outside and inside the cabinets. The use of high-quality teak wood and teak veneer ensures the durability and longevity of the piece.
Attention to detail, especially evident in the nicely integrated handles and perfectly joined edges, showcases the artistry of Danish craftsmanship. The set includes a dresser with three drawers, a display cabinet with original patterned glass doors, a bar cabinet that can also be used as a desk (when hung lower), a sliding-doors cabinet, and twelve 20 cm deep shelves.
This combination of open shelving and closed cabinets offers a versatile mix of display and storage options, making it ideal for living rooms or offices where both aesthetics and organization are crucial. It is an entirely modular shelving system, and the components can be arranged according to your needs. The presented setup is just an example.
The total dimensions of the unit are H.: 196 / W.: 305 / D.: 30 cm.
The wall unit consists of:
- dresser: H.: 39 / W.: 75 / D.: 30 cm (drawers inner height 10 cm)
- sliding door cabinet: H.: 41 / W.: 75 / D.: 30
- a bar/desk cabinet: H.: 42 / W.: 75 / D.: 30 (depth when fully opened: 66 cm)
- display cabinet H.: 41 / W.: 75 / D.: 30 cm
- 12 shelves: 20 cm depth
- 5 solid wood supports, each 196 cm long
- black-painted steel hardware
The unit has been renovated. The wood has been cleaned of the old finish and protected with layers of Danish oil, enhancing its beauty. Black metal hardware has been repainted. All the parts fit together, and drawers and doors work smoothly and properly. Despite the passage of time, the bookcase remains in excellent original condition.
