Description
Simple, minimalist executive desk designed by Henning Jensen & Torbin Valeur in Denmark in the 1960s. The desk is most often attributed to Kai Kristiansen.
The only decorative aspect of the desk lies in its carpentry, so well used in Danish mid-century furniture as a signature of the craft and the provenance.
The desk has a solid teak frame with stunning two inlay joints that are repeated on the handles. The geometric base with exposed joinery creates a unique floating impression. The legs are detachable for more convenient transport. The front side features six drawers (three on each side). In contrast, the back side has an open bookshelf for additional storage. It creates a perfect home or office working environment. The teak on the wood has a very appealing honey-like color.
The desk has been checked by our team. We have examined if all drawers work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
Clients from all around the world already have trusted our work and its fruits.
