Description
A large floor lamp in Space Age style designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in the 1970s is made of handblown white and mottled Murano glass. The steel base and the upper globe in mottled glass, joined by three futuristic elements composed of three rings each, enhance the Space Age design, which is based on the idea of the world after the success of atomic energy and space trips. All sections are joined by chromed plated steel and equipped with multicolour lighting ( colourful bulbs ) giving the opportunity to illuminate in various colours. The foot double switch makes it easy to turn on the lamp in miscellaneous combinations lighting individual elements or the entire piece. Carlo Nason’s design is one of the most recognizable in terms of Italian mid-century modern style of blown glass Murano lighting, and is closely associated with Mazzega.
Our team has meticulously inspected and verified the lamp’s flawless functionality. It remains in excellent original vintage condition. The plug and switch are original and fully functional. The switch has two buttons-one turns on the second section from the bottom and at the very top, the other switch turns on the other two, you can run them separately or together. Color obtained from colored bulbs. Four bulbs included green, red, blue and white. The lamp requires E27 bulb type.
