Description
Minimalist, rosewood mid-century wall unit with console designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado manufactured in the 1960s. Simple, angular silhouette with almost no ornamentation or embellishments makes it a perfect addition to any type of interior. Thanks to its space-saving design, it will also be ideal for the hallway.
Despite its minimalist appearance, the combination of meticulous craftsmanship and choice of rosewood-known for its rich, deep tones and striking grain patterns-makes the piece a true decoration. Two drawers with nicely integrated and almost not visible handles sculpted in solid wood, provide ample storage space. The sleek frame-like profile surrounding the drawers is a characteristic of Cadovius’ designs. The addition of adjustable shelves makes the piece even more versatile and allows the display of personal items or art. This wall system is fully modular, offering a variety of configuration options to suit your needs. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with shelves mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers, or, for a console, on metal pins.
The set includes:
- a console: H: 15 / W: 80 / D: 30 cm (internal height of the drawers: 10 cm)
- 2 shelves: W: 80 / D: 24 cm
- 1 shelf: W: 80 / D: 20 cm
- 2 solid wood montage rails, each 175 cm long
- brass hangers
Despite the passage of nearly six decades, this piece remains in perfect original condition. The drawers are clean and operate smoothly, and the wood has been treated with professional compounds to enhance its natural beauty. The engraving “Made in Denmark” located on the back of the shelves confirms the authenticity of the furniture’s origin.
