Description
A magnificent rosewood wall unit, designed by Kai Kristiansen in the 60s and made by FM, is a real eye-catcher and unbelievably functional piece of furniture. Storage space is provided in five different cabinets, while eight shelves expose books and decorations. All cabinets feature a reasonable arrangement of shelves and internal trays, and the dresser with four drawers will provide convenience in storage. Especially noteworthy is the cabinet with a lifted top, perfect for audio equipment and gramophone, or as a bar, satisfying the needs of vinyl records lovers.
Beautiful rosewood grain and mastery of craftsmanship, evident in the solid wood details such as solid rosewood curved handles, add a touch of classiness. The wall unit features brilliant carpentry and rich rosewood grain. It is a great example of Danish mid-century carpentry.
The set consists of:
- cabinet with four drawers H: 50/W: 86/ D: 48 cm
- cabinet with a lifted top, hinged doors, and three inside trays H: 50/ W: 86 / D: 48 cm,
- one cabinet with hinged doors H: 50/ W: 86/D: 48 cm
- one glass cabinet H: 36/W: 86/D: 32cm
- one cabinet with sliding door, with drawer and shelf H: 36/W: 86/D: 32cm
- eight shelves 28cm deep
- four metal rails 213 cm long each
This vintage bookcase is an entirely modular shelving design. Each section is ~86cm wide and can be arranged according to needs using an easy system of metal brackets fitting into the rails. One can put all cabinets and shelves lower, higher, switch sections etc.
Our team checked the wall unit thoroughly. We have made sure that all the doors and drawers work properly. On many occasions, The wood has been cleaned and refreshed with professional compounds. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering they are 60 years old.
