Description
Danish mid-century rosewood wall unit designed by Preben Sørensen and manufactured by PS System in Randers in the 1960s. Made of rosewood, one of the most expensive and rare wood species. It was made in the very same period as Poul Cadovius wall units, and it presents the same Danish mid-century quality.
Overall set size is H: 199 / W: 244 / D: 46 cm.
Adjustable shelves allow for the display of personal items or art, regardless of size. Its modularity allows for flexible configuration. The arrangement of the shelves and cabinets can be easily changed. The shown setup is just an example. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with components mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers and metal pins.
The set includes:
- a sliding doors cabinet: H: 50 / W: 80 / D: 45 cm
- a display cabinet with glass doors: H: 35 / W: 80 / D: 35 cm
- an expository shelf 33 cm depth
- 9 shelves: 20 cm depth
- 1 shelf 29 cm depth
- 3 teak montage rails, each 199 cm long
- brass hangers and metal pins
The unit has been fully renovated. The wood has been cleaned and treated with professional compounds and covered with a few thin layers of new satin lacquer to enhance its natural beauty. Brass parts have been slightly polished. The doors and glass doors work properly. The producer’s stamps, located inside the cabinets, confirm the authenticity of the furniture’s origin.
We have over 200 Danish shelves from the mid-20th century. We offer them in various sets. If you are looking for other types of wood or a larger unit, please visit our website or let us know.
