Description
Extremely functional modular mid-century wall unit system designed by Preben Sørensen in the 1960s. and made by PS systems in Randers, Denmark. Made from teak wood and teak veneer—materials known for their warm color, durability, and longevity—it is built to last for many more decades. The handles are sculpted from solid wood and masterful joinery is showcased in the dovetailing of the drawer fronts, a demanding and increasingly rare technique in modern furniture making. The variety of components offers a versatile mix of display and storage options.
Adjustable shelves allow for the display of personal items or art, regardless of size. One of two deeper shelves (40 cm) can function as a compact desk, making the set ideal for creating a home office space. If you lack room in your living area, studio, or bedroom, adding a practical floating desk is an ideal solution.
Its modularity allows for flexible configuration. The arrangement of the shelves and cabinets can be easily changed. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with components mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers and metal pins.one can move each element up and down and iterchange them.
The set includes:
- a dresser: H: 50 / W: 80 / D: 45 cm (internal height of the drawers: 9 cm)
- a sliding door cabinet with inner shelf H: 50 / W: 80 / D: 45 cm
- expository shelf: W: 80/ D: 33cm
- 8 shelves: W: 80 / D: 20 cm
- 2 shelves W: 80 / D: 40 cm
- 4 teak montage rails, each 200 cm long
- brass hangers
The wall unit is in perfect original condition. It has gone trough renovation. The drawers are clean and operate smoothly, and the wood has been cleaned and treated with professional compounds to enhance its natural beauty. The producer’s stamp, located inside one of the cabinets, confirms the authenticity of the furniture’s origin.
