Description
Impressive Italian mid-century floor to celling room divider bookcase manufactured in the 60s with total hight from 267 and 385 cm, closely reminding the style of Franco Albini’s design for Poggi from the same period. The wooden construction is veneered in teak, even on the backside, which makes it a perfect room divider. The bookcase is mounted with pressure between the floor and the ceiling, and its total height is adjustable every 10 cm however, it can be adjusted to fit any room height between 267 and 385 cm (that suit most of contemporary interiors, even the loft ones that are very high). It comes with adjustable brass feet, ensuring stability on uneven floors.
It features two cabinets one with drop of doors with solid teak sculptural handles and 11 shelves with geometric sides. It is a stunning highlight for any midcentury modern space.
Detailed dimensions:
- 11 shelves 26 cm deep
- a cabinet H: 45 / W: 78 / D: 41cm
- a bar cabinet H: 45 / W: 78 / D: 41cm
- 4 rails with adjustable brass feet 260 cm, each with with extension 110cm , adjustable to any hight up to 385 cm
The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have made sure that all drawers and doors and all the mechanisms work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only cleaned the wood meticulously, and the original varnish was refreshed with professional compounds. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. Our goal is to restore the furniture to its best condition, considering its age of 60 years or sometimes more.
The wall unit is preserved in great vintage condition with very minor signs of age and use.
The wall unit can be placed without ceiling extensions (then the total height is 260 cm, but we recommend using them).
