Description
Visually appealing and extremely functional, this Scandinavian free-standing teak wall unit was designed and produced in the 1960s, most likely in Norway.
Designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, this freestanding bookcase is crafted from warm-hued teak wood, showcasing a beautiful wood grain pattern both on the outside and inside of the cabinets. The use of high-quality teak wood and teak veneer ensures the durability and longevity of the piece. Attention to detail, especially evident in the slightly rounded edges of the cabinets’ side panels, nicely sculpted round handles, and carved legs, showcases the artistry of Scandinavian craftsmen.
This wall unit features one spacious cabinet with sliding doors, one drop-front door cabinet with an inner shelf and practical compartments, six shelves of various depths, and one display shelf. This combination of open shelving and closed cabinets offers a versatile mix of display and storage options, making it ideal for living rooms or offices where both aesthetics and organization are crucial. The drop-front door cabinet can be used as a hidden desk to create a discreet space for a home office.
The unique assembly system uses metal pins that hide in the gouges on the shelves and legs of the bookcase, making the joints invisible and aesthetically pleasing.
