Description
This very rare teak wall unit with a desk was designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado in the 1960s. The addition of a full-size desk in this large extended version was added only to a few sets out of thousands. This part can also be used as a table or other workspace.
Overall set size is H: 203 / W: 245 / D: 172 cm.
Attention to detail is evident in the sleek edges, precise joinery, and the elegant way of attaching the shelves and cabinets. This craftsmanship ensures both durability and a refined appearance. The wall unit includes shelves, a small cabinet with sliding doors, and a large, full-size desk with an extra leaf, making it ideal as a home office.
Designed originally for smaller apartments (the table can be lifted fully up and the base detached), now it is an icon of Danish functionalism from the mid-20th century. Can be used in a living room, office, bedroom, or even kitchen.

One of the standout features of Cadovius’s design is its modularity. The shelves and cabinet can be rearranged effortlessly, allowing users to customize the layout according to their needs. Shelves and supports have engraved inscriptions: “Made in Denmark.”
The unit has been renovated. All mechanisms and doors work smoothly, and all parts fit together. The wood has been treated with professional compounds to enhance the beauty of the grain. The desktop was covered with a delicate coat of the satin lacquer for additional protection. The additional leaf is a little darker than the main one. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
