Italian floor-to-ceiling mid-century wall unit or a bookcase, crafted in the 1950s or 1960s perfectly blends functionality with timeless elegance. Thanks to its impressive size, this piece of furniture will not only elegantly fill a large part of the wall but also optically enlarge the room and add a sculpture-like form.
Boasting a comprehensive design, the piece incorporates walnut veneered cabinets, shelves, and a dresser, providing ample storage and display options. All cabinets are lockable, ensuring the security of your belongings. One drop-front bar cabinet is adorned with a captivating vintage print of an Italian port city. This artistic detail definitely serves as a captivating focal point of the piece. Beautiful brass details on the construction rails and leaf-shaped brass handles add elegance and create a perfectly harmonized look.
La polyvalence est la clé de cette bibliothèque. Les étagères et les armoires, montées sur des rails métalliques peints en noir, sont réglables, ce qui permet de les adapter sans effort à vos préférences et à vos besoins. Elles peuvent être abaissées, rehaussées ou interchangées, ce qui offre une grande souplesse d'agencement.
The bookcase is mounted with pressure between the floor and the ceiling, with a basic height of 271 cm. Additionally, we offer extension rails measuring 40 cm. These were utilized during the photoshoot, resulting in a wall unit height of 315 cm in the photo. The metal rails feature adjustable brass feet on both sides, providing stability on uneven floors and allowing for an overall height adjustment of about 4 cm (by screwing or unscrewing them as needed).
Our team has checked the bookcase, and it remains in great original vintage condition. We have made sure that all mechanisms work smoothly. Metal and brass elements have been polished. Wooden parts – cleaned and rejuvenated with professional compounds. While it does exhibit some signs of use on the shelves and a small crack at the lock of the bar cabinet, these are minor imperfections consistent with its age. We have chosen to leave them as they contribute to the piece’s long history and do not detract from its overall aesthetic.
