Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair for Gavina, Italy 1970s
Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair for Gavina, Italy 1970s
Description
This Italian Wassily chair was made according to Marcel Breuer’s design from 1925. The New York Times has called it one of the most important chairs of the 20th century. It was produced by the Gavina company until it was acquired by Knoll in the late 1960s. The chair is set in a chrome-plated frame and upholstered in solid cowhide leather in black.
The chair is in original condition, with signs of use and some wear on the chrome, visible especially on the bottom part.
We leave minor, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We bring it back to its best look, considering it is 60 years old.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
