Description
This classic Danish bookcase with a secretaire was designed in the 1960s, and closely reminds Johannes Sorth, and also J. Andersen design from the same period. It is a fantastic example of high-quality Danish mid-century carpentry that combines elegance and functionalism. The bookcase consists of three drawers, a cabinet with sliding doors, two small drawers, and many compartments. A functional pull-out desk will create a space for a home office while ensuring just enough place for storage, books, and decorations. Slimmer than similar bookcases from the period will perfectly match smaller apartments or bedrooms. Minimalist lines, but still very decorative with many solid teak sculptural details.
Our team checked the bookcase thoroughly. We have made sure that doors and drawers work smoothly. The wood has been cleaned and finished with several layers of teak oil.
We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
Overall, excellent condition with minor traces of use.
