Description
Truly Scandinavian mid-century modern free-standing wall unit in teak with three cabinets, a display shelf, and two very practical shelves with sides. It is a 2-bay completely modular shelving system “Ergo” which was designed by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk and made in Norway in the 1960s. Slightly curved cabinets make a warm impression and sculptural rails create an elegant and grand-looking statement.
This shelving system includes:
- 1 cabinet with sliding doors – H: 48 cm x W: 78.5 cm x D: 41 cm
- 2 cabinet with sliding doors – H: 43 cm x W: 78.5 cm x D: 23 cm
- 1 display shelf for vinyl records, pictures, etc.
- 3 shelves with sides 21 cm deep
- 1 shelf with brass hangers 21 cm
- 3 teak supports each 203 cm long
There is small age typical wear such as shallow scratches, small imperfections. Overall, it is in very good vintage condition especially after cleaning it and coating it with an additional layer of Danish Oil.
