Wall unit in Teak Variett Bookcase by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors, Vintage modular shelving system 1950s
Description
A set of two freestanding “Variett” bookcases made of teak, were designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors in the 1950s in Sweden. It is a remarkable example of Scandinavian mid-century carpentry combined with elegance and functionalism. Both bookcases have a wooden frame varnished in black with decorative brass screws and details, which gives a unique impression. Each unit consists of adjustable components, described in more detail below, that allow one to arrange it as needed, and a cabinet with sliding doors, ensuring enough space for storage, books, and decorations. All can be freely interchanged.
The wall units fit both together, creating an impressive display, but also separately as a functional piece of furniture, even in two separate rooms.

- 1 shelf with two small drawers; drawers height 5,5 cm
