Extremely elegant and functional 3-bay wall unit in teak designed by Poul Cadovius for Royal Systems (later renamed as Cado) – his own furniture company. This modular shelving universe had a profound effect on mid-century design in the 1950s and 1960s.

Two spacious dressers with nicely integrated handles provide ample storage space, and eight shelves help display books and decorations. One cabinet comes in a version with a drop front, featuring glass holders inside and two small finger-joined drawers for accessories. It is perfect for use as a bar cabinet. An additional expository shelf is ideal for displaying photos and pictures.

The set features brilliant carpentry and showcases the rich teak wood grain. The cabinets are exquisitely framed by the slightly sloping edge profile.

Cadovius considered the Cado system one of his most exclusive and successful designs. The system is very easy to mount on the wall, with each component fitted onto dowel holes without any visible suspension. The system is entirely modular, allowing cabinets and shelves to be arranged as desired. The shown setup is just an example

• 2 dressers with 4 drawers: H: 51/ W: 80/ D: 46 cm (two upper drawers height: 7 cm, two bottom drawers height: 11 cm)
• 6 shelves: W: 80 / D: 22 cm
• 2 shelves: W: 80 / D: 30 cm
• 4 wooden rails: 203 cm long each

The wall unit has been checked by our team. It is in excellent vintage condition. The original “Made in Denmark” engraving is preserved, confirming the authenticity of the set. We have made sure that all the mechanisms work properly and smoothly. The wood has been refreshed with Danish oil.
