This rosewood wall unit was designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado in the 1960s. It is an iconic example of mid-century modern design. Cadovius, a renowned Danish designer, revolutionized furniture design with his innovative, modular shelving systems that combined functionality with minimalist aesthetics and high-class materials. It will enrich any living room or bedroom. It features brilliant carpentry and rich rosewood wood grain.

Overall set size H: 201 / W: 163.5 / D: 48 cm.

Crafted from luxurious rosewood, known for its rich grain and deep, warm tones, this set has a distinctive, high-end look. Attention to detail is evident in the sleek edges, precise joinery, and the elegant way of attaching the shelves and cabinets. This craftsmanship ensures both durability and a refined appearance.

The wall unit includes shelves of varying depths, one with a fully functional lamp, a cabinet with sliding doors with 3 inner drawers, and a large desk-shelf, making it ideal as a home office. As it is all adjustable, the large shelf (46 cm deep) can be perfect for big decorative items, like vases, sculptures, or albums. The lamp was not designed by Cadovius most likely, but it is a very nice brass lamp from the same period, that seems to be made for units like this.

One of the standout features of Cadovius’s design is its modularity. The shelves and cabinet can be rearranged effortlessly, allowing users to customize the layout according to their needs. Shelves have engraved inscriptions: “Made in Denmark.”

Our team checked the wall unit thoroughly. All drawers and doors work smoothly, and all parts fit together. The wood has been treated with professional compounds to enhance the beauty of the grain. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
