Description
This pair of mid-century nightstands, crafted in the style reminiscent of John Texmon’s designs executed in Blindheim Mobelfabrik in Norway showcases the elegance and simplicity of Scandinavian modern furniture. Each nightstand features a clean, rectangular form with two spacious drawers, providing ample storage while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic.
The nightstands are finished with a rich teak veneer, known for its warm hues and striking grain patterns. The handles are meticulously carved from solid wood. Their round shape echoes Texmon’s signature approach to functional yet decorative elements.
The nightstands are designed with subtle curves, especially noticeable in the rounded edges of the tabletop and on the sides, a hallmark of Texmon’s influence. This detail softens the geometric form and adds a sense of fluidity.
The nighstands have been fully renovated and finsihed with a delicate coat of lacquer, that brigs back the historc look, but adds a litte more protection especially on the top. Please note this is not thic lacquer as you see on modern pieces, but a thin satin sheen layer that emphasises the pores of the teak wood. If you leave a wet glass for a long time ( overnight ) it may leave a circle.
Additional dimensions:
- internal height of drawers: 7 cm
