Mid-Century Rosewood Freestanding Desk by Torben Valeur & Henning Jensen for Dyrlund, 1960s

Description
Simple, minimalist executive desk designed by Henning Jensen & Torben Valeur for Dyrlund in Denmark in the 1960s.
The desk has a rosewood frame with stunning inlay joints that are repeated on the handles. The geometric base with exposed joinery creates a unique floating impression. The legs are detachable for more convenient transport. The front side features six drawers (three on each side). In contrast, the back side has an open bookshelf for additional storage. The only decorative aspect of the desk lies in its carpentry, and the wood itself, so well used in Danish mid-century furniture. The desk can be a central piece for a home or office, living room, or any office environment.
The desk has been checked by our team. It is in fantastic original condition. The wood has been refreshed with professional compounds. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring it back to its best look, still considering it is 60 years old.
Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits.
If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
