Description
A large arc floor lamp with handmade shade was designed sometime in the late 1950s or 1960s in Italy. The exquisite rarity of this design lies in its use of organically bent walnut wood—a feature seldom encountered in contemporary times. This aesthetic finds affinity with renowned designers such as Carlo Mollino, Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi, Max Ingrand, and Angelo Lelii, who also embraced the organic design philosophy. The shade is made of cotton strips wrapped around a metal frame. It was handmade, and redone according to the original one.
The lamp has undergone a comprehensive renovation, including rewiring for enhanced functionality and a new switch. The wood has been thoroughly cleaned, sanded, and protected with professional compounds to enhance its beauty. After this restoration, the lamp will last for decades to come, making a beautiful addition to any interior.
