Description
Simple yet elegant, fully renovated mid-century shelving system inspired by famous modular projects from the 1960s. This bookcase features four deep shelves and one spacious cabinet with two adjustable inner shelves. Shelves arranged alternately, add lightness and create a visually dynamic and interesting look. This wall unit showcases the iconic mid-century modern aesthetic – a combination of beautifully grained teak wood, great craftsmanship, and minimalist design.
Shelves are mounted with black metal hangers on solid wood rails and they can be placed lower or higher using regularly placed slots in the rails. Moreover, it is possible to position the longer edge of the shelf either outside or inside the rails. All of this makes the piece not only stylish but also functional.
The unit consists of:
- 4 shelves: W: 73 / D: 30 cm
- 1 cabinet: H: 65/ W: 100 / D: 30 cm
- 3 solid wood rails, each 200 cm long
- metal hangers
The wall unit has been upcycled through a thorough renovation, combining old and new parts to revive the shelving system. All the wood has been sanded down, coated with stain applied for a uniform look, and finished with layers of Danish oil. If necessary, damaged veneer is replaced to enhance the appearance. The rails have been redone according to the original design.
