Description

This 1960s Danish mid-century single bed crafted in teak, embodies the timeless elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of the era. The design of the bed draws clear inspiration from the work of renowned Danish designer Kai Kristiansen, with its refined lines and attention to detail.

The bed stands on tapered legs, a hallmark of mid-century design, which gives it a light, airy appearance while ensuring stability. The high headrest and back add a sense of grandeur and provide comfortable support for lounging or reading. The design’s sharp angles lend the piece a crisp, modern look, while the frame’s beautifully curved edges soften the overall aesthetic.

Crafted with precision, the bed highlights the quality of the teak wood, known for its durability and rich, warm tones. This piece represents high-quality construction and timeless design, making it a solid choice for anyone who values mid-century Danish furniture.

The teak bed frame is in excellent original condition, with only minimal signs of use consistent with its age. To ensure maximum stability and sleep comfort, we replaced the old mattress support frame, which is an essential part of the bed’s structure. The wooden frame has been cleaned and refreshed with professional compounds to enhance the wood’s beauty, making this bed a perfect blend of comfort and style

Please note that the bed does not come with a mattress. The recommended mattress dimensions are 84 cm by 190 cm, with a height of at least 8 cm for proper comfort.

We can provide a matching mattress but it will increase both the cost of the bed and the cost of shipping.
