Danish mid-century teak daybed in black leather, 1960s

Description
Mid-century solid teak daybed made in Denmark in the 1960s. It closely relates to Ejvind A. Johansson, or Hans Wegner projects from the same period. The daybed features a solid teak frame and a quilted mattress in black leather with new foam inside, along with a decorative bolster, adding an elegant touch to the piece. The use of teak wood—a material known for its warm color, durability, and longevity—makes the frame built to last for many more decades.
It showcases high-quality craftsmanship, ensuring comfort for relaxation. Horizontal wave springs under the mattress add extra flexibility and resilience to the construction.
A nicely profiled wooden frame with gently rounded corners not only keeps the mattress stable but also perfectly harmonizes with the black upholstery, creating a timeless design.
The daybed is in fantastic condition. The teak wood frame has been treated with protective oil to enhance the grain. The new upholstery and foam provide both comfort and durability. The legs are detachable for convenient storage or transport.
