Poul Cadovius rosewood wall unit with vinyl records cabinet for Cado, 1960s
$1 728
Description
Minimalist, rosewood mid-century wall unit designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado manufacture in the 1960s. It seems to be designed specifically for enthusiasts of vinyl records. One cabinet provides plenty of storage space for favorite LPs, and the top is perfect for a gramophone.
Simple, angular silhouette with almost no ornamentation or embellishments makes it a perfect addition to any type of interior. Despite its minimalist appearance, the combination of meticulous craftsmanship and choice of rosewood-known for its rich, deep tones and striking grain patterns-makes the piece a true decoration.
This wall system is fully modular, offering a variety of configuration options to suit your needs. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with shelves mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers, or, for cabinets, on metal pins.
The set includes:
- a vinyl records cabinet: H: 42 / W: 80 / D: 38 cm (width of individual compartments: 10 cm)
- a glass-front cabinet: H: 33 / W: 80 / D: 24 cm
- 2 shelves: W: 80 / D: 20 cm
- 2 rosewood montage rails, each 198 cm long
Despite the passage of nearly six decades, this piece remains in perfect original condition. The wood has been treated with professional compounds to enhance its natural beauty. The engraving “Made in Denmark” located on the back of the components confirms the authenticity of the furniture’s origin.
