Bruno Mathsson Pernilla lounge chair in blue wool upholstery, 1960s
Bruno Mathsson Pernilla lounge chair in blue wool upholstery, 1960s
Description
An extremely comfortable Pernilla lounge chair by iconic Swedish designer Bruno Mathsson was made by Dux in Sweden in the 1960s. It is an improved version of Pernilla’s original version, designed in 1944. The chair features a minimalistic and organic design with a curved seat and backrest. It is made of bent beech plywood (back in the 40s, it was a progressive project!), canvas, and new pale blue natural wool upholstery similar to the original. It is truly one of the most comfortable lounge chairs of the 20th century, perfectly shaped to the human body.
The wood and canvas parts are in their original condition with minor traces of use; all padding is redone. The upholstery is new and was redone according to the original pattern.
We leave minor, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. We bring it back to its best look, considering it is 60 years old. Clients from all around the world have already trusted our work and its fruits. If you are new to vintage furniture, you can contact us for any possible explanations and close-ups of the piece.
